Sponsor six stalwarts of the UK Legal IT community to cycle 100km round a lake (ok, loch)
Representing the crème de la crème of UK legal and cycling under the LITIG team banner, IT leaders David Aird, John Craske, Keith Feeny, Andy Taylor, Stuart Whittle and David Wood will be taking on the gruelling 100km (66 miles) of the Etape Loch Ness, inappropriately clad head to toe in “figure-accentuating” Lycra™. This all after spending a day trekking to the start in Inverness. Here’s what they have to say:
Who knew when we signed up that Loch Ness was so far from everywhere? It could be in a different country (for five of us at least)!
We hope that you can find it within your heart to recognise our efforts to drag our sorry, ageing, untrained bodies around this epic challenge and dig deep to sponsor us. For some in the group (Stuart in particular) it may just be a gentle, morning spin around a lake enjoying the outstanding scenery but for the majority of us it will be 100km of pain and effort. Regardless, it is in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity that does amazing work supporting those with cancer and their families, an issue that has sadly impacted a number of us directly.
We recognise that you will receive a number of such pleas throughout the year and that some of you may not be in a position to sponsor us but if you are able to do so then we would really appreciate your support. For vendors reading this, given that we don’t all have the same account manager, please check with your colleagues who may also have received this email – we wouldn’t want you donating twice, now would we!
You can donate on our JustGiving page.
With thanks in anticipation,
David, John, Keith, Andy, Stuart and David
