Two major UK deals to report this morning – and both indicate the companies involved – Rekoop and Lexis NexisTime Enterprise Solutions are heading in the right direction. Last month Rekop said they had more major deals in the pipeline – and they have, while Lexis has spent the last couple of years saying its new PMS would be a killer application.
• Rekoop has announced its second top tier win in a fortnight. Following on from its deal with Harbottle & Lewis, Rekoop has now secured a contract with Bevan Brittan LLP. The public services law firm is set to deploy Rekoop to 210 users across its offices in London, Bristol and Birmingham, syncing with its current Lexis Axxia PMS.
The roll-out will comprise Rekoop Desktop, the primary time recording interface; Rekoop Digital Footprint, which monitors activity in the background and helps construct timesheets automatically; Rekoop for mobile, enabling the seamless recording of time on the move; plus full integration with the firm’s telephone system for complete call time tracking.
Bevan Brittan’s Finance Director Chris Ake explains the drivers behind the project: “We were keen to get a more complete and accurate picture of performance across the firm and we saw the ‘anytime, anywhere’ data capture capabilities of Rekoop as fundamental to that process. We have a tradition of innovation and the technology available across desktop, mobile and hosted telephony platforms will allow us to usher in a new chapter of progressive working that our markets and clients are demanding. The pilot is certainly showing an appetite for Rekoop, with fee earners across the spectrum very positive in their adoption; the excellent take-up gives us every confidence that time recording will become the key business intelligence tool we want it to be.”
• And Moon Beever, a law firm specialising in insolvency and debt recovery, as well as areas such as private client and property has chosen to deploy the enterprise-grade business management solution LexisOne from LexisNexis Enterprise Solutions. The solution, which is powered by Microsoft Dynamics AX, will provide Moon Beever with a modern and future-proof platform for business operation.
Moon Beever chose LexisOne over the incumbent practice management system (PMS) for its Microsoft technology and comprehensive functionality. Immediately, LexisOne will serve as the firm’s billing and financial management platform. The real-time management information delivery capability of LexisOne will be hugely valuable to Moon Beever and will enhance informed decision-making. Moon Beever is committed to the best systems it can achieve, both for its own management function and to provide detailed management information to clients.
The firm is also looking to integrate Lexis Visualfiles, its legal workflow and case management system, with LexisOne. The combined solution will deliver exceptional efficiency and agility to enable Moon Beever to meet its strategic goals.
