Peter Owen, the founder of Lights-On Consulting is going to be spending his birthday (4th October) sleeping rough to raise money for charity as part of the annual Byte Night fundraising campaign. So far nearly 50 people and companies who have sponsored him and raised a fabulous £1,880 (£2,205 including gift aid) for Action for the Children charity. Peter adds “If everyone sleeping out manages to raise similar amounts it would be over £3.2 million for the cause! Hopefully that’s a few less children sleeping rough, trying to take their lives and being abused.

Before you head off for the weekend, we’ve a couple of charity projects that would like your support. Stuart Whittle, the IS & Operations Director of Weightmans LLP, is planning to cycle from London to Paris in June with the aim of raising £15,000 for the NSPCC. And, Hayley Biddlecome, with TikitTFB’s support team, is planning to run her first 10k race in July on behalf of Cancer Research UK. This will be Hayley’s 11th entry in the annual Race for Life event although she has previously only run the 5k distance.
