Division / Department description

The commercial world runs on data, but the sheer volume of information can be overwhelming. Our team locates the essential facts quickly and presents them correctly. The amount of information generated by companies is increasing every day. When it comes to disputes, it is increasingly difficult to locate the information you need in a cost-efficient and timely way. That’s where our disputes data management expertise comes in: capturing, organising, protecting and ensuring access to vital evidence and key documents. We assist our disputes team and clients by locating key files in information systems that often comprise millions of documents, and presenting them in a way that meets court, tribunal or regulator requirements. We also assist with both the electronic and legal review of relevant documents and provide trial support.

For corporate transactions, the team assists in the creation of online data rooms, allowing stakeholders to access required information from anywhere in the world. While technology plays an important role in the work we do, this area requires diverse skills. Strong project management, communication, analytical, interpersonal and technical skills are a must. Job information

This role is responsible for the technical aspects of day to day DDM caseload, including data processing, maintenance and trouble-shooting in relation to all relevant software packages and tools.

Key responsibilities

System implementation and support:

Implement the necessary disputes document review solutions and related processes in London. Assist and enable internal stakeholders to work effectively with document review software, and with other relevant IT systems for handling case-related information. Primary contact for user support
Data management and monitoring:

Manage the upload and ingestion of data. Use search terms effectively to navigate large databases/ document management systems. Monitor data upon arrival from external vendors and quality check for errors

As directed by the Senior Case Manager, be available to assist in relation to the electronic production of document reviews where London is instructed
Document review software expertise:

Develop an expert understanding of the functionality of document review software, trouble-shoot problems with the software and liaise with the software providers during the review to resolve any issues (in consultation with Case Managers)

Work with the Senior Case Manager in London to contribute to the development of eDisclosure practices in the London office, working closely with the Belfast office and with the relevant stakeholders in London and other offices
Bespoke disclosure related tasks:

Assist Case Managers with bespoke disclosure related tasks using Excel, Access, Adobe and other tools used by the DDM team
Knowledge capture and process improvement:

Contribute appropriately to the continuous development of the relevant business processes and protocols including case
specific process manuals for the DDM team and where requested, the firm more generally

Proactively provide feedback to Senior Technical Analysts and Case Managers on the training needs of internal stakeholders to ensure that users in London understand the e-disclosure process and are assisted in the resolution of relevant issues (e.g.problems with use of document review software)
Job requirements

Graduate (2:1 or above) or a post-graduate qualification with a minimum of 3 A levels (ideally B grades and above).
