UK’s ediscovery & litigation support recruitment specialist publishes whitepaper on Bridging the eDiscovery Skills gap

The demand for ediscovery skills has been accelerated by greater regulations, industry governance and increased public financial penalties. According to Gartner Group, the ediscovery market is set to grow by 14% per annum over the next four-to-five years.

·         There is demand for high quality Business Developers with relevant experience and understanding of the EDRM model – figures show a significant growth through 2011 and in to the first half of 2012.

·         Vendors and Consultancies are hiring and training high calibre candidates that have transferrable skills to help meet demands in the absence of direct eDisclosure skills.

·         Business development base salaries are continuing to increase, due to the increased competition to hire well networked eDiscovery sales people at mid-senior level hires that can potentially bring an array of clients to the business.

·         The demand for Project Managers has grown for those certified in Project Management certifications such Prince2.  Although some companies do not seek them as a pre-requisite, it can enhance candidate opportunities.

·         The eDiscovery industry is developing rapidly in parts of continental Europe, creating opportunities here while also driving the need for language skills – especially German, French, Italian and Dutch.
