US news: another time recording success for IntApp
IntApp Inc has announced that Stites & Harbison PLLC, a leading law firm based in the SouthEastern part of the United States, has achieved significant lawyer adoption of IntApp Time Builder, which in turn has greatly enhanced time recording practices.
“IntApp Time Builder simplifies and streamlines our lawyers’ efforts to record time on the same day that work is performed by providing them with a roll-up of their billable activity that’s automatically grouped and assigned accurate client matter codes,” said Tab Barton, the firm’s IT Director. “We’re very pleased with the quality and capability of the software, which has proven to be quite popular. Today two-thirds of our timekeepers use Time Builder, frequently finding several hours of missed or under-billed activity each month, which directly impacts firm profitability and financial performance.”
Background: IntApp Time Builder is a software product that enables law firms to increase revenue by capturing billable time that is missed or under-billed. It does this by providing lawyers with an accurate, consolidated report of their client and matter-related activity, generated by automatically monitoring the key applications they use throughout the day. Tracked systems include document creation, email, calendar, phone, and mobile devices. To allow lawyers to effectively access and use their activity report in whichever way best aligns with their work patterns and preferences, Time Builder makes this information available in several ways including:
• A web-based interface, which offers an optional “secretary mode” to allow third-party time recording assistance
• On mobile devices including Apple iPads and iPhones
• Directly through Microsoft Outlook
• An automated email
• A paper printout
The web and Outlook interfaces allow lawyers to group, detail and submit activities directly to financial and time entry software tools including Elite Enterprise, Elite 3E, Aderant / CMS, DTE Axiom and Tikit Carpe Diem.
