Websites made simple – according to head of new UK coding quango, you can build a site in just one hour!

Car-crash TV as UK quangonista Lottie Dexter, director of the £500k Year of Code initiative reveals in Jeremy Paxman Newsnight interview that she knows nothing about coding. Seems you can train people to teach coding in just one day and build a website in an hour. Who knew HTML was that simple!

One reply on “Websites made simple – according to head of new UK coding quango, you can build a site in just one hour!”

To be fair to the lady, from what I read over the weekend, what she is planning to do is go through the training program herself and write a weekly blog on her progress in learning coding. Can’t comment on the other claims, but at least they are trying to get people interested in coding. You can build a website in an hour or so, have done such a thing for various relatives, they are just very simple and static, but they do the job. We need more people in the IT world, let’s not knock anything that trys to get them involved.
