We have an exciting opportunity for a Workflow Engineer to join our IT team in Bristol. This is a permanent, full time position. Hours of work are 9.00 a.m.- 5.00 p.m., Monday to Friday with flexibility to meet deadlines as required.

Key responsibilities:

Reporting into the Applications Manager, this role will be responsible for the support and development of our workflow applications and processes including but not limited to the following:

Metastorm – Work Acceptance (Client and Matter inception process), Starters and Leavers Process, and other Legal Process Automation
Visualfiles – Plot Sales and OC Real Estate
Specific responsibilities will include:

To lead and assist with the development effort and be the primary contact for all support and maintenance for all Metastorm, Visualfiles and Work Acceptance based business processes.
Provide support and development of Extranet projects and enhancements.
Dynamically adapt and improve technical skills as the role requires
Create and maintain documentation, including process flow diagrams, progress reports, proposals and technical specifications for implemented processes.
Undertake business requirement capture and analysis.
Ensure that IT solutions are relevant to the business need and meet end user requirements and specifications
Proactively manage changes in timelines and process development scope
Effectively plan and manage system release schedules, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans to maximise system availability.

We are looking for somebody with the following skills and experience:

Extensive direct work experience in a workflow developer capacity including all aspects of process development and execution and the use of Visio to map processes
Strong proficiency in the development of systems using the Metastorm v7 and v9 platforms
Strong T-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 skills
.NET programming skills (particularly VB.NET, C#.NET and ASP.NET)
An understanding and experience of working with client Extranets
Demonstrable Business Analysis skills
Experience constructing and consuming web services and XML
Experience of developing Microsoft Office solutions with a strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications
The ability and willingness to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
A good knowledge of the legal and IT sectors
Willingness to improve experience through both self-study and potentially gain relevant qualifications. Highly self-motivated and proactive.
Persuasive, encouraging and motivating with strong interpersonal skills including written and oral communication
