UKLTA launches innovation sounding board

The UK LegalTech Association has launched a sounding board for innovation leaders within UKLTA member law firms. The brainchild of Weightmans partner and innovation manager Catriona Wolfenden and legal engineer Beth Wells, the group is intended to be a form of innovation self-help group where members can share ideas, challenges and solutions under Chatham House Rules.

Wolfenden said: “We are always keen to chat with those championing innovation across the legal industry. Sharing areas of overlapping experience, tips and tricks, not necessarily over specific tech but other aspects such as rewarding ideas and embedding innovation can be really beneficial in taking strategies and projects to the next level. There is enough innovation for everyone to openly share experiences without giving away trade secrets, and we can’t wait to welcome our peers and colleagues to the sessions.”

The first meeting of the group will take place virtually on July 16th between 12.00 -13.00 and will be open to UKLTA members as well as non-members who want to learn more about the group.

UKLTA was founded in 2018 by chairman Matthew Pennington to create a community to drive better engagement in legal technology.

The new board will meet every couple of months for a coffee and a chat to swap tips and tricks with others in a similar role. If you are tasked with leading or championing innovation in a law firm and want to join the group you can get in touch at: https://www.uklta.org.uk/innovation-sounding-board/
