eSentio officially expands into the UK

Having been quietly building a UK presence over the past year, legal technology consulting and implementation company eSentio Technologies has made its UK launch official, including announcing the hire of Simon Elven from Tikit as its director of UK operations, and Paul Higgins from Morae as senior project manager.

While eSentio has undertaken significant high profile UK work in the past several years, including being involved in Clifford Chance’s document management system selection process, they are known as a US based company – something, eSentio says, this UK launch will change.

Elven joined eSentio as director of UK operations in December 2020, having been a key part of Tikit’s management team for many years, serving as both director of professional services and commercial and marketing director.  Higgins, meanwhile, before Morae was head of consultancy at BigHand and has managed large, complex projects for a variety of law firms including, recently, the migration of document management systems to the cloud.

Yvonne Dornic, eSentio’s CEO, said: “We have always viewed our expansion into the UK as core to our strategic plans. Prior to launching into the UK, we consulted with several CIOs of magic circle firms and received a very warm reception, great advice and lots of encouragement to bring eSentio’s unique capabilities and value proposition to the UK market.”

She adds: “With the recognition that 2021 would see the world opening up again we started working closely with Simon at the end of last year. It has been incredibly useful to have had the benefit of his knowledge and experience over the last nine months and we have been delighted that he has been able to be practically involved with a number of our live projects. The time is now right to formalize our commitment to the UK market, and it is great to have Simon on board to lead that charge.”

Elven said: “eSentio has an enviable reputation in the AMLAW 200 as well as an extensive network of CIO-level relationships. Having now worked directly with the team here, and its clients, it is clear to me that eSentio has both formidable technical expertise and a deep understanding of what it takes to run successful projects in the largest global firms. eSentio has some attributes that make it truly unique in the UK market and I’m really excited to be able bring this capability to a wider audience here.”
