Updated: Casey Flaherty & Jae Um join Bakers as directors of LPM and pricing

Casey Flaherty, founder of Procertus and the Legal Techolology Assessment, has joined Baker McKenzie as director of legal project management, responsible for accelerating the growth of the firm’s LPM capability. Based in Austin, Texas, Casey brings more than 14 years of experience as a lawyer and consultant, with many aware of him through his industry commentary on the likes of 3 Geeks and a Law Blog.
He joins alongside Jae Um, a former director of legal strategy at Seyfarth Shaw, who is the newly-appointed director of pricing strategy.
Jae and Casey will work closely with David Cambria, Baker’s global director of legal operations, to deliver on the firm’s commitment to client value. Cambria joined Baker McKenzie in June 2018 from Archer Daniels Midland Company, a Fortune 50 company and one of the world’s largest agricultural processors and ingredient providers, where he held the position of global director of operations – Law, Compliance and Government Relations for five years.

Global, January 22, 2019 – Baker McKenzie is delighted to announce the addition of market leading legal business professionals D. Casey Flaherty and Jae Um as the Firm continues to enhance and reimagine the delivery of its legal services to global clients.
Casey joins the Firm as Director of legal project management, responsible for accelerating the growth of the Firm’s already industry-leading LPM capability and sharpening the attendant focus on client alignment. Based in Austin, Texas, in the United States, Casey brings more than 14 years of experience as a lawyer and consultant.
Jae joins the Firm as director of pricing strategy, responsible for advancing the Firm’s approach to pricing and strengthening enabling capabilities to drive firm–wide implementation at scale. Jae brings over 12 years of cross-functional experience in legal business and is based in New York.
Jae and Casey will work closely with David Cambria, the Firm’s global director of legal operations, to deliver on the Firm’s commitment to client value. David joined Baker McKenzie in June 2018 from Archer Daniels Midland Company, a Fortune 50 company and one of the world’s largest agricultural processors and ingredient providers. There, he held the position of global director of operations – Law, Compliance and Government Relations for five years.
