EY bolsters legal consulting team with triple hire

The EY legal function consulting team in EMEIA has bolstered its numbers with the hire of Corinna Codd, Maria Passemard, and Keruschka Sunmugam.

Rob Dinning, legal function consulting leader for the team, said: “Combining former general counsel and chief legal operations officers alongside legal project management and transformation consulting professionals, the EY Legal Function Consulting Team draws on extensive personal experience of delivering meaningful, value-enhancing change in the in-house environment to help general counsel and their teams adapt and transform their operating models to increase strategic business alignment, embrace evolving operational challenges and adopt optimal ways of working.”

Here’s more on those new hires:

Corinna Codd, Associate Partner, Zurich

Corinna is one of the most experienced legal operations professionals in the region, having created and led the global Legal Strategy & Operations function at Novartis before moving into consulting and founding her own practice advising legal functions, principally in the life sciences and financial services sectors, on every aspect of the legal operating model: from knowledge management and technology enablement to outsourcing strategy and spend management. Prior to embarking on her legal operations career, Corinna spent 14 years in private practice in London and Paris.

Maria Passemard, Senior Manager, London

Maria joins from Lawyers on Demand, where she led the Legal Operations & Technology consulting team. Prior to this, Maria was the Legal COO for The John Lewis Partnership, where she led the transformation of the legal operating model at the UK retailer, including the implementation of a workflow and case management platform and the restructuring of its internal and external resourcing model.

Maria is an employment lawyer by background, having been a partner in private practice and departmental head in-house.

Keruschka Sunmugam, Senior Consultant, London

A qualified lawyer, Keruschka built a career in legal operations across a variety of in-house and law firm project management and paralegal roles before taking over legal operations management at trainline.com and, most recently, at fintech scale-up, Liberis.
