Prosperoware announces new global partner program

Prosperoware has launched a global partner program as it looks to promote its services across verticals outside of the legal sector.

“Prosperoware has been deeply rooted in the legal vertical for over a decade,” says Trish Rilling, Prosperoware’s director of channel and alliances. “With the importance of governance and hybrid work environments, our solutions have quickly become relevant in other verticals, and our partners are key to our continued success and expansion.”

The restructured program will offer resources and tools to support Prosperoware partners simplify customer experiences through their digital transformation journey. Led by Rilling, the program offers a structured path to enablement, communication, and partner account management.

“Enriching the partner experience is a top priority,” says Prosperoware CEO & co-founder, Keith Lipman. “We are taking the next step in building rich, long-lasting partnerships by investing in a new Global Partner Program to ensure our partners have access to the right tools and resources to enable safe collaboration across systems for both they and their clients.”

Smokeball Raises $40 Million in Private Funding Round

Cloud legal practice management software Smokeball has raised a $40 million investment from private investors and employee shareholders to double down on growth.

The company says it will use the funds to fast-track the expansion of its 200+ person team and the advancement of its proprietary technology to help small- and medium-sized law firms manage and grow their business in the U.S. and Australia.

“Smokeball has grown rapidly because most small- and medium-sized law firms either don’t use automated software or have poorly functioning solutions,” said Hunter Steele, Smokeball’s CEO. “Our mission is to help lawyers grow the value of their business, which is the basis for everything we do.

“By securing private funding we can continue this mission with clients as our primary focus rather than delivering a short-term return to investors. With the support of private investors, we can focus on solutions that benefit our clients for decades to come.”

Smokeball says that tools like automatic time tracking; document automation and form libraries; advanced matter management; and complete legal billing help its clients bill more than four hours per day, compared to the industry average of only two.

“Incredibly, we estimate 100,000 small- and medium-sized law firms in the U.S. and Australia don’t use any law-specific software to manage cases and their business. Just as many are trapped in outdated legacy systems tied to a server, or use cloud platforms that lack innovation and depth,” Steele said. “We exist to help firms realise the potential in their business, and to get them back to practicing law rather than pushing paper and chasing timesheets.”

ProSearch and Text IQ Launch New Connector for Relativity and Text IQ

ProSearch and Text IQ have developed a new connector to speed up and simplify data transfers between Relativity and Text IQ, which was recently acquired by Relativity.

Text IQ leverages unsupervised machine learning to accelerate the review of privileged and protected content, reducing the time and cost burden of document review. Until now, a common challenge faced by legal teams was the lack of an automated solution for accurate and speedy transfer of fielded results obtained in Text IQ to Relativity for further review and production.

“The ProSearch Text IQ Connector speeds up the transfer of data between Text IQ and the Relativity platform,” says Omar Haroun, Text IQ co-founder and COO. “This will enable users to further reduce the time it takes to conduct document reviews, particularly when it comes to privilege review.”

“Our long-term partnership with Text IQ includes a history of collaboration for Global Fortune 500 customers,” says Julia Hasenzahl, CEO of ProSearch. “Together we drive significant value and cost savings by combining Text IQ’s machine learning platform with ProSearch’s expertise in developing AI workflows to automate privilege review. The new Connector is the latest example of our success in partnering for the benefit of our mutual clients.”
