DocsCorp’s former VP of global commercial operations Ben Mitchell has joined cloud-based practice and case management solution provider Tessaract.io as chief revenue officer to help spearhead its UK launch and drive growth in Europe.
Tessaract was founded in Singapore in 2018 by Cherilyn Tan, who is CEO of the Asia Law Network. The SaaS workflow automation tool offers no-code/low-code process automation capabilities, and we’re told that client onboarding, conflict checking, and KYC/AML workflow are ‘baked in’ to the platform. Tan says that she founded Tessaract in response to her own experiences as a law firm client, which were slowed down by time consuming manual processes and compliance steps. The company raised $3.3m in Pre-Series A funding led by Wavemaker Partners in August 2021.
Tan said of Mitchell’s arrival: “This is an exciting moment in our company’s history. We have an extensive client base in Singapore, which includes the regional offices of several UK law firms. Working with them has led us to acquiring clients in the UK and demand has now reached a level that justifies the establishment of a UK team. We are pleased to have Ben leading our commercial operations and look forward to drawing on his market knowledge and experience as we expand into the UK and Europe.”
Mitchell was with Litera for a year following its acquisition of DocsCorp. His past career history includes a five-year stint as professional services sector manager at OpenText prior to joining DocsCorp in 2011. Tessaract can be deployed as 100% SaaS via its multi-tenant cloud, or as a dedicated managed service. It is also possible to deploy the platform within the clientsʼ own Microsoft Azure or AWS tenancy.
