PropTech merger: MDR Lab spinoff Least merges with Insight Technology

PropTech companies Insight Technology and Least have announced that they are merging.  Least was founded by former leasing agent Leon Ballard and Mishcon de Reya partner, Nick Kirby, to simplify the leasing process. Least was spun out of MDR Lab, Mishcon de Reya’s venture investment and venture building arm, and Mishcon is a shareholder in the start-up, which last year raised £1.5m in seed funding.

Mike Avery, co-founder of Insight Technology, will be CEO of the new group, with fellow co-founder Darryl Friend becoming CTO and Ballard taking on the role of COO. Kirby is a board adviser. Insight’s agency and CRM products include the Agents Society and AgentInsight.

The merged business says that it has a vision to establish itself as the industry’s preferred operating system – a central source-of-truth and daily dashboard for agents and all stakeholders involved in transacting commercial property globally.

Ballard said: “It was clear from the outset that we shared a broader vision: to improve the commercial property transaction process. As a result, we have now combined the sector’s best solutions for finding, negotiating and closing commercial property deals.”
