Pickering Pearce, a leading UK-headquartered legal technology advisory firm, today (20 August) formally announced the appointment of Paul Sambhi and Alex Young as senior directors. The pair have been working at Pickering Pearce for some months but this is the first time that their appointments have been officially noted.
Sambhi brings many years of experience in delivering large scale change and ERP projects both inside and outside of the legal industry. He has previously led the delivery of global Aderant and Elite practice management implementations and wider finance transformation initiatives for firms such as Dentons and Herbert Smith Freehills. He worked at Dentons until November 2023 as it transitions to Elite 3E Cloud.
Young is well known and respected across the industry for the experience that he brings to large scale practice management system projects and global transformation delivery initiatives. He has a long history in legal technology having worked as a programme or project manager with firms such as Linklaters, Clifford Chance, Holman Fenwick Willan, Matthew Arnold & Baldwin, Burges Salmon, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, Howard Kennedy, and Dentons.
“Traditional time and billing platforms are finally evolving at pace in the industry, and many large law firms are carefully considering their options before committing to another decade or more with their existing incumbent systems,” said Justin North, founder of Pickering Pearce. “Many law firms are taking the opportunity to review the future operating model of their finance function and also rethink the core commercial processes and behaviours that sit at the heart of the firm. We’re at an exciting once-in-a- generation point in the industry’s history.
“We are thrilled to welcome Paul and Alex to the Pickering Pearce team. Their combined expertise and programme leadership is already proving to be instrumental in enhancing our capabilities and delivering exceptional value to clients who seek a viable independent alternative to what has previously been available.”
