Global legal technology consultancy Harbor Global has been acquired by BayPine, a Boston-headquartered private investment firm that specialises in digital transformation. BayPine is acquiring a majority stake from Harbor’s initial private equity sponsor Renovus Capital Partners, which will remain a significant investor in the company, alongside the existing Harbor management team. Terms of the transaction weren’t disclosed.
Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, Harbor has grown through a series of acquisitions and now has a global team of 800 specialists across North America, the United Kingdom, and Australia, It serves 85% of global 200 law firms and more than half of Fortune 500 corporate legal departments.
