In this webinar with Prolifics Testing and customers, we discussed how the UK-founded company has helped law firms to overcome challenges with cloud migrations or major system upgrades – particularly in the practice management system space – and the lessons learned.
At multi-jurisdictional offshore law firm Walkers, Narendran Paramanathan, a finance systems consultant at Walkers and previously finance systems manager, was faced with the need to upgrade to Aderant Framework, but was faced with the familiar circumstances of a practice management system that was heavily customised and an ecosystem that didn’t support an upgrade. Aderant’s advice was to try to bring in a more standardised environment. Paramanathan talks in detail about the step by step process undertaken by the firm, the significant struggles along the way, and the way that Prolifics helped them to move forward.
At UK-headquartered international law firm Pinsent Masons, meanwhile, a complex, two-year billing transformation project was at risk of derailing as they moved towards paperless billing. The firms conducted early testing with users who got on well with paperless billing and managed in the first phase of the programe to rationalise and simplify in-house customisations. However, as the roll out scaled, the system crashed repeatedly, with an upgrade suggested as the only option. Billing program manager Adrienne Mansfield-Cant talked us through how they resolved the issues with Prolifics Testing, and the lessons learned.
With Faz Ahmed, business development manager at Prolifics Testing, reflecting on some of the challenges faced and solutions achieved, this is a useful webinar for anyone who is facing similar issues.
