UK Diversity: DELTAS unveils new panel members and plans to expand nationally in 2023

Those of you in my LinkedIn network may have seen a post last week from NetLaw Media announcing the new members of DELTAS panel, of which I am thrilled to be one. DELTAS is a group dedicated to promoting diversity and ethics in legal technology and security across the UK, founded by NetLaw Media’s managing director Frances Anderson and this year also led by DELTAS’ ambassador Mabel Harvey, the former IT director of Field Fisher.

The other new panel members are Chris Bull principle at Edge International,  and Jas Mundae, director of legal tech at Linklaters. The full panel is here: https://www.deltassociety.com/advisory-panel/deltas-panel/

At a meeting hosted by Linklaters’ CTO Bruna Pellicci on 6 October, we discussed DELTAS’ previous initiatives including ‘champion’ talks in schools and over Zoom, as well as student days and career days hosted by top UK law firms including Linklaters, Herbert Smith Freehills and Pinsent Masons.

For 2023, the programme for the year is to expand DELTAS nationally, with a call for more firms to open their offices for career days as well as become involved in talks at schools and potentially mentoring schemes.

If your firm wants to participate and collaborate with DELTAS or if you individually have the availability to help within mentoring schemes, school talks or career days, please contact Netlaw Media on enquiries@netlawmedia.com
