Agiloft makes double VP hire to boost global alliances and US sales

Agiloft has hired former Icertis executive Steve McKean as its new vice president of global alliances, and GRC tech sales leader Joel Moerschel as its new east regional vice president of sales, in the latest of a series of senior hires as the contract lifecycle management vendor looks to drive further growth.

McKean, who was previously vice president of partner programmes at Icertis, will now lead the expansion of Agiloft’s global partner programme, through which it has seen much of its growth to date. He is responsible for ‘optimising’ the company’s range of partner offerings and ensuring that sales representatives and administrators have the tools they need.

Agiloft’s global partner network consists of reseller partners such SaaSam; JHensley Consulting; and Adaptive Dynamics, services partners including Deloitte; EY; and Tata Consultancy Services, and technology partners including Adobe; AWS; and Microsoft.

Kevin Niblock, chief revenue officer at Agiloft said: “A large portion of Agiloft’s growth has come through our global partner program, and we are furthering that commitment to drive explosive growth together in today’s dynamic global economy. Steve is the perfect fit to lead that effort with our channel partners. With his experience and institutional knowledge, he will dig deep to ensure Agiloft partners can manage, grow, train, and execute their business at the highest level.”

Moerschel was previously senior vice president of sales at Syntrio and before that VP of sales at SAI360, both of which operate in the GRC space. Governance and risk management are front of mind for legal teams when implementing CLM solutions that connect data across the enterprise.

Niblock said that Moerschel “has demonstrated excellence in leading a world-class sales organization that will drive growth across the region,” adding, “Joel also brings invaluable experience from the GRC and legal tech world that will help our customers realize the true strategic value in Agiloft’s flexible CLM solution.”

These hires follow two C-suite appointments for Agiloft last month. Early in September, Agiloft announced the appointment of John Pechacek as its chief technology officer and Laura Richardson as general counsel. Pechacek, who was previously CTO of Velocity Solutions, took over from Agiloft’s founder Colin Earl. Richardson – a long-time advocate for legal operations – has significant technology experience and has worked as an attorney and latterly GC at Axiom, Intel Corporation and Osso VR.
