Am Law 100 law firm Polsinelli earlier this week announced the firmwide implementation of Thomson Reuters CoCounsel, which is now available to Polsinelli’s circa 1,200 attorneys nationwide, in one of the largest CoCounsel rollouts in the legal sector to date.
Polsinelli has provided CoCounsel Core firmwide across the entirety of its transactional, regulatory and litigation practices, with 70% of the firm’s associates and 50% of its shareholders said to be actively using the tool. Additionally, the firm is in the process of finalizing the implementation of CoCounsel Drafting. Core helps to accelerate document discovery, review and analysis, while Drafting exists in Microsoft Word and leverages Practical Law content.
Regan Lemke, chief practice strategy officer and chief of staff at Polsinelli said: “We conducted in-depth pilots for several GenAI tools as part of our ongoing firmwide innovation efforts to ensure we deliver an enterprise-level programmatic approach to AI that will benefit our clients regardless of the practice they engage with. The CoCounsel suite of products stood out to us as the one delivering the most comprehensive, reliable and practical use case for our attorneys across all our practices. As a full-service firm, this tool is a game changer for our attorneys and clients because we can reliably process and analyze large amounts of documents within it. It is also a platform that we are using to partner with our clients in their innovation journey, reflecting our dedication to innovation and excellence and ensuring that we continue to deliver exceptional value and outcomes for our clients.”
CoCounsel joins Polsinelli’s advanced technology stack and innovation initiatives, which include being the first law firm to adopt Salesforce-based deal management platform Project Fortress, which was developed by a Polsinelli associate.
