Thomson Reuters Elite officially launches 3E in the cloud for large and mid-sized firms

In a significant announcement for Thomson Reuters Elite, 3E is now widely available in the cloud for large and mid-sized law firms. Here is the announcement in full:
Thomson Reuters Elite, part of the Legal business of Thomson Reuters, today announced the launch of 3E® 2.8.2, the latest version of its flagship financial and practice management solution utilized by more than 260 firms around the globe.
Along with a number of product enhancements, 3E 2.8.2 enables the wide availability of 3E in the Cloud, the first Software as a Service (SaaS) financial management solution for large and mid-sized law firms. This new cloud offering provides an Elite-managed cloud environment using the Microsoft® Azure® platform.
The Microsoft Azure platform offers cloud confidence with nearly unlimited scale, 24/7 monitoring, security rigor, and innovation opportunities unmatched in the industry. The result is superior data security, power and load capacity flexibility, improved disaster recovery, and enhanced risk management of business data for law firms.
U.S. law firm Gordon Arata Montgomery Barnett became the first firm to go live on 3E in the Cloud, serving as the pilot site and taking advantage of lower infrastructure costs and less ongoing maintenance when compared with an on-premises solution.
“We are excited to bring to market the latest version of our standard-setting financial and business management solution for the legal industry, including a bold step forward in terms of offering best-in-class security and flexibility through 3E in the Cloud,” said Elisabet Hardy, Vice President, Global Product Management & Marketing at Thomson Reuters Elite. “The benefits of 3E in the Cloud for firms are manifold, from decreased infrastructure costs, lower ongoing maintenance, and enhanced scalability to unmatched security and increased data residency flexibility.”
As well as providing wide availability of 3E in the Cloud, the release of 3E 2.8.2 is accompanied by updates to a number of offerings that now integrate with the 3E in the Cloud offering, including 3E Workspace 2018.3, Monitoring and Diagnostics 1.2.2, Financial Reporting 3.0.1, 3E Data Insights 2019.1 cloud, and 3E Templates™ 3.1 (formerly Design Gallery™). In addition, enhanced integration with eBillingHub®, the leading electronic billing solution from Thomson Reuters designed for law firms to transform the error-prone process of legal e-billing into a fast and accurate activity, has also been incorporated.
3E from Thomson Reuters Elite offers an end-to-end enterprise business management solution that allows law firms and professional services organizations to run all operational aspects of their business. Designed from the ground up on Microsoft .NET, 3E offers built-in application development capabilities. Why does it matter? The unique architecture enables firms to become more agile, lawyers to quickly respond to client needs, and staff to easily track and manage activity on any scale—from single-office to multi-office and multinational. 3E is the next-generation technology that can help firms improve efficiency, increase profitability, and confidently take on a future without limitations.
